 Clalit is the major health organization in Israel, and one of the most progressive public health associations in the world. Through its 14 hospitals and more than 1200 primary and specialized clinics, Clalit provides comprehensive health insurance and highly advanced medical care to the majority of Israel's population. The Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center is one of the largest hospitals in the country. It has the major task of serving the 360,000 inhabitants of Tel Aviv, in addition to the more than one million people who enter the city every day for work and pleasure.
